Pozhichalur




Pozhichalur, originally known as Pughal Chola Nallur, is a town situated north-west of Pallavaram in Chennai. A 9th century town, Pozhichalur was ruled by Chola rulers. It is famous for the Agastheeswarar Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva and Sri Rama Anjaneya Temple, dedicated to Lord Hanuman. Numerous temples are also found nearby the town.

Pallavaram Railway Station connects other parts of Chennai through local electric train network. Frequent bus services are also available.
