Pallavaram is a town in
Kanchipuram District and is near
Chennai. It is located on
National Highway 45 and lies between
Tamabaram and
Guindy. The town had a large European community comprising of soldiers and pensioners.
Pallavaram is famous for a cave temple and St Francis Xavier Church.
Pozhichalur, famous for the
Sri Rama Anjaneya Temple, is located north-west of Pallavaram. Thiru Neermalai Temple is situated near Pallavaram.
Pallavaram is connected by local electric train network and city transport corporation buses.
