Tindivanam is one among the three sub-divisions of
Viluppuram District,
Tamil Nadu. This small town lies about 25 km northwest of
Cuddalore.
Ennairam, located near Tindivanam, has inscriptions about the Hindu shastras that date back to the 11th century. At a distance of about 15 km lies the Mailam Murugan temple dedicated to
Lord Muruga. There are many institutions and houses that promote Tamil language and literature. Thiruvakkarai, famous for its Vakkara Kali Amman Temple, is 25 km south of Tindivanam.
Located on NH 45, Tindivanam is easily accessible by both road and rail. The nearest airport is at
Chennai.
