Municipality means an institution of self government constituted under section 12, read with the article 243Q of the Constitution of India and includes a Municipal Corporation, a Municipal Council and a Nagar
Panchayat. It is created under any law at the time, to act as an agency of administration and local self-government. The Municipal area means territorial area notified by the government.
