Kunnathur

Kunnathur (also spelt Kunnattur and Kunnatur) is a small settlement in Krishnagiri District, Tamil Nadu. It is about 4 km north-east of Samalpatti, 18 km south-west of Tirupattur and 10 km north of Uthangarai. Tiruchirapalli is 168 km from the town. Some of the nearby tourist spots are Thally, Krishnagiri Fort, Athiyamankottai, Thiruvannamalai, Kelavarapalli Dam, Krishnagiri Dam, Government Museum and Hogenakkal Waterfalls. Salem Airport at Salem (87 km) and Bangalore International Airport at Bangalore (125 km) are the nearest airports. Kunnatur Railway Station serves the town. Tirupattur Junction Railway Station is the nearest major railhead. Kunnathur can be approached from Tirupattur, Uthangarai and Krishnagiri by road.
