Ponmanai is located in
Kanyakumari District of
Tamil Nadu. The village houses a magnificent temple of
Lord Shiva. This east facing shrine is known as Ponmanai Shiva Temple and the deity is known by the name Thippilankudi Mahadevar.
Ponmanai is about seven km from Thirunanthikkarai and eight km from Kulasekaram. Kuzhithurai Railway Station is the nearest railhead. Frequent buses are available from Marthandam.
