Gowmariamman Temple is located at
Veerapandi, in
Theni District of
Tamil Nadu. This 14th century shrine was built by the Pandya King Veerapandi. The temple enshrines Goddess Gowmariyamman as the presiding deity.
It is said that the Pandya Kind regained his vision after praying Gowmariyamman and Kanneeswaramudaiyar.
The annual festival, celebrated for 8 days in the Tamil month of Chithirai (April-May), is a major draw attended by thousands of devotees from far and near.
