Gangaikondan

Gangaikondan is situated in the eastern side of Tirunelveli District, at about 16 km from Tirunelveli. As Gangaikondan lies close to the merging point of Chittar with Tamiraparani River, it is enriched with underground water. Talaiyuthu is 9 km south-east and Kayatar is 11 km north.

Krishnapuram Temple at Krishnapuram, Shiva Temple at Cheranmadevi and Kailasanathar Temple at Brahmadesam are some of the prime spots that can be visited nearby.

Tuticorin Airport and Tirunelveli Junction Railway Station are the major access points. Talaiyuthu Railway Station is the nearest railhead. National Highway 7 passes through Gangaikondan. The town is easily accessible from Tirunelveli and Kovilpatti by road.
