Uthappam, also known as Indian pancake in foreign countries, is prepared in the same way as
dosa, but is made thicker with onion and green chilies. It is a pizza like thick pancake made of rice and lentils, topped with onions and tomatoes. Uthappam is traditionally served with sambar and varieties of chutney. It can be eaten during breakfast, lunch or dinner. Onion uthappam, tomato uthappam, paneer uthappam and plain uthappam are the most common varieties.
