Arulmigu Renugambal Amman Temple is located at the foot of the mountain chain (Jauvadhu hills) in A K Padavedu village of
Thiruvannamalai District. The presiding deity of the temple is goddess Renugambal, the mother of
Parashuram. Sub shrines for
Lord Ganesh and
Lord Muruga are seen in the temple complex.
Arulmigu Renugambal Amman Temple stands tall for its temple architecture. The shrine made of stone blocks has beautiful sculptures engraved on the outer walls, depicting puranic legends and works of art. One portion of the wall is decorated with figures of 108 women dancers in different postures.
Numerous facilities including marriage hall, accommodation and purified drinking water are offered to the devotees. The annual festivals in the temple are Aadi Velli, Navratri and Pongal.
