Lord Vishnu, a part of the trinity in
Hinduism, is worshipped in different forms in different temples. The famous
Sri Varadaraja Perumal Temple in
Kanchipuram worships him in the form of Varadaraja Perumal. In this particular form, he is flanked by his consorts Sridevi and Bhoodevi.
According to Hindu mythology Sridevi and Bhoodevi, have contrasting characters. While Sridevi, an incarnation of Goddess Lakshmi, is fickle and of demanding nature, Bhoodevi is faithful and submissive.
