Manora




Manora of Thanjavur District is a popular picnic spot at about 65 km south of Thanjavur. This coastal town is known for an eight-storied miniature fortress built by Rajah Serfoji in 1814.

The port town of Adirampattinam and Thiruvarangulam, known for a 12th century temple, are worth visiting spots in the neighborhood. Peravurani (towards west), Sethubavachattram (south) and Rajamadam (north) are the nearby places.

Tiruchirapalli Airport is the nearest airport. The railheads close to Manora are Peravurani Railway Station and Atirampattinam Railway Station.
