Situated near
Ravangla in
South Sikkim District, Ralong Monastery belongs to the Karma Kagyu order of Tibetan Buddhism. It was constructed after the return of the fourth Chogyal from his pilgrimage to Tibet. The monastery was reconstructed by
Sikkim government (1975-81). It has around 100 monks. The annual festival of Chamm (monk dance) is performed on the 28th and 29th days of the tenth month of the Tibetan Calendar.
