Kirateshwar Mahadev Mandir




Kirateshwar Mahadev Mandir is a delightful shrine situated at Legship, on the banks of Rangit River, in West Sikkim District. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The mythological stories shows the temple as having close relation with the epic Mahabharata.

There is a dharamshala near the temple premises, which can accommodate more than 500 devotees. Bala Chaturdesi is the main temple festival celebrated either in November or December.

Legship is 4 km from Pelling. Regular buses connect Legship with Pemayangtse and Geyzing.
