Gyathang is located in
North Sikkim District of
Sikkim. Also known as Hee Gyathang, it is 5 km south of
Mangan.
Hee Gyathang Monastery, which follows the Nyingma sect of Buddhism, is the prime attraction here. The place is situated amidst dense green wood, with the mighty snow-caped mountains forming the backdrop.
Civil Enclave Bagdogra and Darjeeling Railway Station are the nearest airport and railway station respectively.
