Blood Pheasant (Ithaginis cruentus) has vivid red coloring on the feathers of its breast, throat and forehead. Females are uniformly colored with duller shades of reddish brown than the males. The bird has a distinct ring of bare skin around the eye that is crimson colored. Its feet are red.
It is the state bird of Sikkim. Blood Pheasant can be seen in the Singalila National Park, West Bengal.
