Sindhi Sarangi, also called Sing, is a stringed instrument used in
Madhya Pradesh and by the
Langas of
Rajasthan. Belonging to the Sarangi class, it is a horn shaped folk instrument with four main wires, seven jharas (sympathetic strings below the main strings) and seventeen tarafs (bands). The main string is made of steel. This unfretted lute is played with a bow.
