Harsha is a small village situated 14 km south-east of
Sikar, in
Rajasthan. Formerly known as Harsha Nagar, this ancient hamlet is situated at the base of a hill and is famous for its ancient temples and its natural beauty.
Major point of attraction is the ancient Shiva Temple, which dates back to the Chauhan period. Close to the temple is a new temple built by Rao Raja Shir Singh. The huge marble
Shivlinga constructed on the southern side of the temple is worth visiting.
The panoramic view of the village can be obtained from the top of the hill (a 10 km drive by road).
The nearest airport is at Jaipur, 117 km from Sikar.
