Ranthambhore Tiger Reserve




Ranthambhore Tiger Reserve, lies on the junction of Aravalli and Vindhya ranges, is located in Sawai Madhopur District, Rajasthan. Rich in scenic beauty, this reserve is world famous for its tigers. Three lakes, Padam Talab, Malik Talab and Raj Bagh are found in the forest. This 1334 sq km reserve comprises Ranthamabore National Park, Sawai Mansingh Wildlife Sanctuary and Keladevi Sanctuary.

Tiger, leopard, caracal, jungle cat, sloth bear, chital, chinkara, sambar deer, blue bull, wild boar, jackal, common fox, hyena and common langur are the other species found.

Ranthambhor Fort lies within the park boundaries. The best time to visit October to June.

Sanganer Airport at Jaipur and Sawai Madhopur Railway Station are the nearest accessible points.
