Rajsamand District is located in the southern part of
Rajasthan. It is surrounded by
Ajmer and
Pali in the north,
Udaipur in the south,
Bhilwara and
Chittorgarh in the east, and
Sirohi District in the west. Rajsamand covers a total area of 4,768 sq km.
Rajsamand has moderate climate. It is famous for marble productions. Handloom and terracotta works are the other economy. Major crops are wheat, maize, jowar, rice, gram, pulses, sugarcane, barley, and groundnut. The prime attractions include the lake of Rajsamand, Deogarh, Kumbhalgarh, and Haldighati.
