Chutney is a tangy side dish eaten in small amounts to add flavor to the dish. Customarily, Chatni or Chutney is a mixture made on a grinding stone and is consists of a paste of raw ingredients, such as peanuts, cashews, fresh herbs, fresh chilies, ginger, garlic, fresh green mangoes or lime juice, mint, coriander (cilantro) leaves, sour fruits, Indian mango and coconut with other spices.
