Talab Shahi is a picturesque lake, situated about 40 km from
Dhaulpur, in
Rajasthan. There is also a palace nearby the lake.
The lake and the palace were built as a hunting lodge for Shah Jahan, in AD 1617. It was later maintained by the rulers of Dhaulpur.
The lake is a haven for a large number of winter migratory fowls including pintail,
shoveler, red crested pochard, common pochard, tufted duck and common teal.
