Mahanaldev Temple




Mahanaldev Temple, an ancient temple of Lord Shiva, is situated at Menal in Chittor District of Rajasthan. Menal is about 48 km from Bundi.

Built in or around 10th or 11th century, this beautifully ornamented temple is famous for its fascinating carvings. It is five-storeyed in elevation and consists of a saptaratha sanctum, a vestibule and a hall with three porches. The temple was built in contemporary with the Udayeshwara Temple.

There is a large idol of standing Ganesh at the main entrance of the temple.
