Goga Medi is a small picturesque village located about 59 km from
Jaipur, the royal pink city,
Rajasthan.
The samadhi of Goga Veer, as he was known among the Hindus (Jahar Peer among the Muslims) makes this small hamlet popular. This marble structure with two minarets is enclosed within a fortified wall. Inside the samadhi, the idol of Gogaji is seen in a seated posture on a blue horse with a snake wind around his neck. At the main entrance, there is an inscription in Persian which describes Mahmud Ghazni's regard for Gogaji.
The village is also famous for an annual fair called Gogaji Fair. This three day annual fair, dedicated to Goga Veer, is conducted during the month of Bhadrapada, between August and September.
Sanganer Airport and Jaipur Junction Railway Station are the major access points.
