Kalibanga is a small town situated on the left bank of
Ghaggar River, about 205 km from
Bikaner, in
Hanumangarh District,
Rajasthan. The town is one of the major excavated sites of the Harappan Civilization that flourished around 3000 to 5000 years BC.
Kalibanga houses immense treasure of the past and is of great interest especially to archaeology enthusiasts. The paintings on the ancient pottery of Kalibanga resemble the Harappan designs.
