Bilasgarh is a historic place situated about 45 km from
Baran, in
Rajasthan. It was a big city during the Khechi kingdom. Overcome with his lust for the beautiful daughter of Khechi king, the
Mughal emperor
Aurangzeb set out in a campaign which resulted in the destruction of the city. Rather than being captured by Aurangzeb, the princess choose death. She ended her life by jumping into Bilasi River, the spot is now known as Kanyadeah.
