Located 25 km south of Amritsar, Tarn Taran is one of the most important pilgrim center in Punjab.
A holy tank, which is believed to have healing properties, is the major interest here. It is believed that if a person suffering from the leprosy swims across the tank, he will be cured. A Gurdwara is built near the tank, in memory of Guru Ram Das. It is on the lines of the Golden Temple at Amristar.
