Mahendra Chaudhury Zoological Park is situated at distance of about 20 km from
Chandigarh and 55 km from
Patiala. The biggest of its kind in India, the park extends to an area of about 202 acres. It is an asylum for about 52 species of animals and 62 species of birds. Himalayan black bear and tiger are the important fauna in the zoo. The zoo also offers a Tiger Safari.
