Kud is a popular hill resort, situated on the
Jammu-
Srinagar highway, about 106 km from Jammu, in
Udhampur District,
Jammu and Kashmir. Situated at an altitude of 1738 m above sea level, it is an ideal picnic spot with a bracing climate. Kud is also a popular lunch stop on the Jammu-Srinagar route.
Swamai Ki Bauli, the well-known mountain spring, is just two km from here.
Hotels and guest houses of Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Development Corporation (JKTDC) are available for accommodation. There are many excellent camping sites in Kud.
Regular buses are available to Kud from general bus stand, Jammu.
