Gurne Kalan is a village, on the Jakhal-Sunam Road, situated in
Sangrur District of
Punjab. Like most other villages in Punjab, this village also became famous by the blessed visit of
Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib, the ninth Sikh guru. The gurdwara situated here has been built in memory of the visit of the guru.
Gurne Kalan is 30 km from Sunam and 8 km from Lahira. Gurne Kalan railway station, situated on Dhuri-Jhahal railway line, is the nearest railhead just a km from here.
