Sylvan Sands and Munda Pahar beaches are located in the southern part of
Andaman and Nicobar Islands at
Chidiya Tapu. One gets a charming view of the sunset from the sunset view point here.
The place is also rich in aqua fauna. The site near the Munda Pahar is excellent for trekking. Sylvan Sands and Munda Pahar beaches are well known for snorkeling.
Chidiya Tapu, generally known as Birds Island, is 25 km from Port Blair. The beach is about 2 km from here.
