Kshira Chora Gopinath Temple is a beautiful shrine, located at
Remuna, about 9 km east of
Baleswar, in
Orissa. The temple enshrines a black stone idol of
Lord Krishna flanked by Sri Govinda and Sri Madana Mohana.
The idols of Govinda and Madana Mohana were brought by a devotee from Vrindavan, in 1938.
It is believed that Lord Ram carved 'Gopinath' with his arrow and that Sita used to worshipped this deity in Chitrakut.
