Rambha is an excellent tourist destination situated at the southern end of the
Chilika Lake, the largest brackish water lake in the country, which attracts a large number of migratory birds. Rambha serves as one of the bases of Chilika Lake and the jetty near OTDC (Orissa Tourism Development Corporation) Panthanivas there is the pick-up point for the tent camp by the Saga boats.
This southern town, Rambha, of Chilika is well connected by road through the
National Highway 5 which is 130 km from Biju Patnaik International Airport situated at
Bhubaneswar and 30 km from Balugaon. There is a small railway station at Rambha.
