A village 7 km south of
Nuapada, Tanwat is a place blessed with natural beauty. This village on the foothills of Manikgragh has numerous attractions. A wonderful cascading waterfall of the river Silda originating from this hill is the main attraction. This waterfall at Bogthola is 1 km west of Tanwat.
Other attractions are the relics of a ruined fort and a beautiful temple dedicated to the village deity 'Konabhoinra.'
Tanwat is approachable from the Nuapada railhead on Vizang-Raipur line of the
South Eastern Railways.
