Patora is a historical site located about 20 km from
Nuapada, on the banks of Jonk River, in
Orissa. Encircled on all sides by green clad hills, it is place with unusual scenic beauty.
The place holds in its bosom and culture dating back to pre-Christian era at Manikgarh. The village is also a dam site of the Upper Jonk Irrigation Project. The place offers a lot of scope for boating in the reservoir.
The famous Yogeswar Temple is a prime attraction here. The nearest railhead is the Nuapada Road Railway Station, on the Vizang-Raipur line of the South Eastern Railways.
