Budhi Thakurani Temple is located at Mahanmohan Para, near Sambalpur road in
Angul District of
Orissa. The presiding deity of the temple is
Goddess Kali, worshipped in the form a pillar called Budhi Thakurani.
This temple is an instance of Budha Budhi worship system prevalent in tribal culture. The black granite idol is a great source of interest. On religious occasions, animals are sacrificed and offered to Goddess Budhi Thakurani, to seek relief from physical ailments.
