Bindu Sagar, also known as the Ocean Drop Tank, is a sacred tank situated at
Bhubaneswar,
Orissa. A number of temples and shrines are scattered around the tank. It is believed that Bindu Sagar contains water from every holy stream, pool and tank in India. The famous
Lingaraj Temple is situated to the south of the lake. During the festival of Ashokastami, the deity of the Lingaraj temple is taken into the lake for ritual bath.
Bindu Sagar is 2 km south of city center.
