Located close to downtown area, Guwahati Junction Railway Station is the headquarters of the

North East Express are the main trains that pass via
Guwahati. At the station, there is a computerized reservation office.
Adjacent to the railway station is Kacheri Bus Stand - Assam State Transport and Meghalaya State Transport buses offer services here. Hotel Brahmaputra Ashok is located close to the station. Private bus companies operate from Paltan Bazaar, just behind the railway station. Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport is the nearest airport, 18 km towards east.
