Moreh is a border town and an international trade center of
Manipur state that lies on the southern part of
Chandel District. It is a border point between the Myanmar and the north-east region of India, 110 km from
Imphal. This town is mostly inhabited by the Keralites and Tamilians. These south Indians have established several Hindu temples of
Kali,
Durga and
Shiva in the town. The Sikhs have a Gurdwara in Moreh. The business of the town is dominated by the
Marwaris.
