Anal tribe is a transborder tribe of
Manipur, found in both India and Burma. They migrated from the rugged mountains and the wide valleys of the Upper Burma to the lower hills of
Manipur, crossing the Chin Hills. Presently they occupy the Chakpi river basin as their homeland. The social and cultural aspects of this tribe resemble that of the Naga tribes. The tribe is divided into two moieties, Masum and Mulcham.
