A part of New Bombay city township, Uran Township is positioned near Mumbai in Maharashtra. In the east of Mumbai, across the Thane Creek, it is a fishing village developed into a small town. As a shipbuilding village, they make around 2000 to 3000 tone boats. A ferry ride of around 45 minutes from Uran takes to the port of Mora. Jawaharlal Nehru Port and Karanja Fort are the attractions in the area. Panvel and Belapur townships are nearby.
