Toranmal

Toranmal is a fascinating hill station situated in the middle of Satpuda Mountain Ranges, Nandurbar District of Maharashtra. Located at an altitude of about 4793 ft above sea level, it is an ideal place for tourists seeking a peaceful atmosphere. Toranmal is about 76 km from Nandurbar. There is a stream flows across the plateau from south to north. In the southern part of the plateau the stream bounds and forms Yashwant Lake. Further towards the north on the same stream is the charming Lotus Lake. The stream later plunches down the cliff in Seetha Khali, into the gorge forming an entralling waterfall in rainy season.

Toranmal is characterized by having a cool and bracing climate throughout the year. Along the tranquil hills, the place is home to a large variety of natural flora and fauna.

The two old temples of Gorakhnath and Nagarjun are worth a visit.

There are different treks including Khadki and Seetalhai for trekking enthusiasts. A forest park, situated near the lake, adds to its charm.
