Muktagiri is a place of pre-historic importance, located in
Betul District of
Madhya Pradesh. It is about 97 km from
Badnur.
Major point of attraction here is a group of 52 Jain temples; some of which are rock cut and are fine examples of Jain architecture. Kartik Fair held here every year draws pilgrims from all over the country.
Regular buses connect Muktagiri with Badnur and Betul Bazaar. Betul Railway Station, situated on the Chennai-Delhi broad gauge line, is the nearest railhead.
