Radhanagari Wildlife Sanctuary is located in
Kolhapur District of
Maharashtra and is about 52 km from Panhala. It lies between the reservoirs of Shahu Sagar and Lakshmi Sagar.
Radhanagari Wildlife Sanctuary sprawls over 351 sq km of south tropical semi-evergreen forests. This sanctuary is famous for bison. Other animals include leopard, sloth bear, wild boar, barking deer,
mouse deer, sambar deer, giant squirrel, wild dogs. Besides, many types of reptiles, amphibians and many bird species such as vultures, eagles, jungle fowl, quails, plovers, sand pipers, owlets, doves, owls, nightjars, kingfishers, bee-eater, hornbills, woodpeckers, bulbul, flycatchers, warblers, wagtails, sunbirds are commonly seen.
The sanctuary is about 40 km from Karad on Pune-Bangalore highway.
