Shri Shivaji Preparatory Military School is located at Shivajinagar,
Pune,
Maharashtra. The school came into existence in November 1931 and the classes were started on June 30, 1932. It is managed by the All India Shri Shivaji Memorial Society, Pune.
It is a boys’ only school offering high quality education. Defence oriented learning is also provided for securing admission in National Defence Academy (NDA.)
The campus houses a kitchen refectory, hospital, staff quarters, gymnasium, and residential blocks for students. An amphitheatre is also available which is well-suited for conducting cultural and social functions. Coaching is given in philately, aero-modeling, ship-modeling, metalwork, music and orchestra, art and craft, clay-modeling, and gardening. Various sports activities are also conducted to develop the physical fitness of the students.
