Pathardi is the headquarters of a taluk situated 12 km south-east of Tisgaon, near the eastern border of Ahmednagar District. Manur, 17 km from Pathardi, is the nearest settlement on the other side of the border, in Beed District. Ahmednagar, the district headquarters, is about 50 km south-west of Pathardi.
Jayakwadi Bird Sanctuary, the historic Mughal edifices and Ahmednagar Fort at Ahmednagar and Seclusion Hill are some of the tourist sites around.
