Ner is a taluk headquarters town, 21 km north-east of Darwha, in Yavatmal District. It is 20 km east of Adgaon and Yavatmal - the district headquarters – is around 30 km towards the east. Nagpur, the Orange City, is 182 km north-east.

Painganga Wildlife Sanctuary, Tipeshwar Wildlife Sanctuary, Chintamani of Kalamb, Shri Ranganath Swami Temple at Wani and Sahastrakund Waterfalls constitute the tourist options around.
