Murud-Janjira is located near Rajpuri River, 150 km south of
Mumbai. The yachts are anchored at Sandy Point, 3.5 miles East of Nanwell Point, from where one can go to visit many beautiful spots nearby. It is a popular spot for the sailing as Colaba sailing club of Mumbai conducts various sailing programs in this harbor. The sea shore is hilly and covered with trees. Nanwell Point Light, Janjira Fort, Kansa Fort, Nawab's Palace,
Murud Town and Dighi Village are worth visiting.
