Built in the Gothic style of architecture,
Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST) Railway Station is a historic railway station and is the headquarters of the
Central Railways. It was constructed in 1888 and has been recently re-named after
Chhatrapati Shivaji, the famous Maratha king. Designed by Fredrick Williams Stevens, the architecture of the station is influenced by a blend of Victorian Italianate Gothic Revival architecture and traditional Indian architecture. It is one of the World Heritage Sites of the UNESCO.
