Mahalaxmi Race Course, located at
Mahalaxmi, is the venue for hard fought racing competitions held in
Mumbai. This race course, measuring to 2400 m with a straight chute, was created out of a marshy land known as Mahalakshmi Flats, a hundred years ago.
The racing season spans from November to February and it is the closest where one could get to rub shoulders with the high society fillies and cocktail party stallions in India.
Mahalakshmi Race Course is owned by The Royal Western India Turf Club Limited.
